The Capitol Hill Tennis Club will meet at the East Potomac Tennis Center at Hains Point on Sunday, October 2 from 2-5 p.m. We will get our court assignments then and will post them on the entrances. Tim will teach beginning at 2 p.m.
SATURDAY TENNIS WITH TIM
There will be a Saturday Tennis with Tim session at the Walter Reed courts on Saturday starting at 3pm to give the courts extra time to dry off. We will go til 3:30 or 4. Email Tim if interested.
THANKS FOR COMING TO THE COOKOUT
We had a very good turnout of about 25 people for the cookout last Sunday. Thanks to everyone for bringing a dish to pass along.
BEYOND THIS WEEKEND
As mentioned, we will try to continue club activities beyond our last paid-for day on Sunday, So watch your emails for informal get-togethers and lesson days. Next weekend, Tim will be attending his fourth and final wedding of the year and will not be in town…
a winter tennis program at the indoor bubble at Hains Point. It’s on Saturday nights from 7-9 pm (lowest court rates available) from September 17 through April 15, 2017. Cost is $275, which is very inexpensive for 30 weeks of guaranteed indoor court time. We do one or two courts depending on the number of sign-ups and it is all doubles – no formal instruction. Let Tim know if you are interested.
The Capitol Hill Tennis Club will meet at the East Potomac Tennis Center at Hains Point on Sunday, August 7 from 2- 5pm for mixed doubles play. We will be on Clay Courts 1-5. Tim will do instruction beginning at 2 p.m.
Saturday Tennis with Tim
We will do another Saturday Tennis with Tim session at the Walter Reed Community Center courts from 10am-noon. We already have four people from last week’s waiting list scheduled to play. Email Tim if you are interested in filling things out.
The Capitol Hill Tennis Club will be playing at the East Potomac Tennis Center at Hains Point for the 2016 Summer Season. The season will open on Sunday, May 29 with mixed doubles from 2-5pm; there will not be lessons because many members are out of town over Memorial Day Weekend. For the most part, we will be playing on 3 hard courts and 2 clay courts, though the mix might occasionally change. The season is scheduled to run through Sunday September 25.
